Silica-Mullite Brick

Silica-mullite brick is a kind of shaped refractory product made of high-alumina bauxite clinker, silicon carbide and an appropriate amount of binder as the main raw materials, which is formed by high pressure and sintered in a high-temperature reducing atmosphere.

  1. Silica-mullite Brick has strong flexibility, excellent thermal shock resistance, low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation effect.
  2. It has high load-softness, high strength, wear resistance, excellent anti-spalling and erossion resistance performance.
  3. The price of silica-mullite brick is also better than that of magnesia-alumina spinel brick, so it is economical and applicable to use silica-mullite brick in the transition zone of rotary kiln.

Silica-Mullite brick is a transition zone brick adopted according to the stringent requirements of large and medium-sized cement rotary kilns for refractory materials. Especially during use, silicon-Mullite brick can continuously form a protective layer and reduce ring formation. It can be used not only in the transition zone, but also in the decomposition zone and cooler.

Silica-mullite Brick has five grades: 1550, 1650, 1680, Silica-mullite red brick and H1 type. It is added with silicon carbide and fired at high temperature. It not only has good wear resistance, but also silicon carbide is oxidized at high temperature and reacts with high-aluminum matrix components to form secondary mullite, which makes the thermal shock stability and erosion resistance of silica-mullite brick stronger.
